Today....Localish place to me and jamee so we popped up with the VVOC and Vec C crew..

I'll give the the power at the wheels in Kw and the losses in Kw and let you do the maths..

Mine. 108kw @ the wheels ,losses 25kw

Jamee's 107Kw @ the wheels , losses 23Kw..

I'll give you the formula for working it out....

wheelpower in kw x 1.341=bhp at wheels
looses in kw x 1.359 = losses in bhp

add the 2 together for fly fig..

145 whp, thats very good daz, you made standard power BUT at the wheels showo..

Jamee made 143 whp, also a good figure 🙂

Was avery old setup neil....one large roller...goin to a plotter...not a pc in sight...I thought maybe that the figs were a tad high to be honest but the standard gsi vec that was there made 197 and there 192 so figs tally up...

I'm well happy with the figs.....but wud have been even happier with the 1st run he done(was setup for a quad) i made 188bhp lol

Sounds like that 2.5 inch downpipe is making a fair bit of difference. What sort of torque figures did you get?

also as mine dont have switchable traction yet, i had to take the fuse out, but then my speedo and all dont work either, so he couldnt go to the limit. (well thats my excuse for daz beating me anyhow!! lol)

Doesn't matter about the speedo. As soon as the engine peaks, the graph falls off anyway.

mine doesnt tho, both graphs, interpro and here, it just goes off the chart, it doesnt drop off at all, the guy over interpro said if i were to raise the rev limit, i would have got higher figs and its got more to give.

Are you saying that the graph is still climbing beyond 6500rpm?? Looking at your previous graph from Interpro, your whp was 119 and max power was reached at 121mph?

thats what the guy over interpro said, if i highered the limiter, it would have got more, i dont understand the figs from there either with what he was saying, my car couldnt have been at the limit at 121mph???!!??

It is possible because you don't have to be travelling at peak power to reach peak speeds. The engine peaks then it thats it, but momentum keeps the car going. Your car will take a fair old while to get to the next line of 130mph an so on.

You think, if you are travelling on the road at 70mph, you aren't actually doing 70mph at 170 odd bhp. You'd only be using a fraction of that at 70mph, so at 121mph you've hit the peak and its not producing anymore.
