Matt Halfords mate. £5.99 for a tin of high build primer, and I think it's £4.99 for a tin of normal plastic primer
Matt Cool, the door handles are pretty easy to be honest, just make sure the prep work is good, and the paint should go on no problem.
Matt Spoiler is now painted and lacquered. It's quite Orange peel at the minute, but once fitted tomorrow, and a going over with some cutting compound on a buffer, should get it looking good.
Jamee Grass needs mowing Matt!! lol Glad to see my dog isnt the only one that drinks from pots, and things.
Matt She was burying a Denta Stix in there, she's fecking mental.....just eat the bleeding thing, there are a box full in the cupboard.
Matt It's on! Many thanks to Si (Sjdickso) for helping me fit it and also flatting it back with the Rotary polisher. showo..
Drakey Super stuff Matt. Drilling holes in your car`s never a nice thing to do, but....when it all goes to plan, completely transforms the look of the car. thumbup
Matt We had to re-drill on of the holes on the near side, as it was totally out, even though it was right when we measured it up. It's even less fun drilling holes in your Dad's Vectra, as I helped him fit a spolier to his a few years back.
Drakey I helped a mate once on his Yellow 220, checked dimensions, check again... and again etc etc. all went well though. Really stressfull 1/2 hr or so. ........what`s next, surely your running out of body touches now.
Matt Colour coded side skirts, and that's about it.....unless I can talk the wife into letting me get a front and rear splitter, new allows, and lower it 😃
Drakey Front Splitter drool.gif , thats all Im after really then I think I`d be quite happy with the look of the car. Can no way warrent a Gsi bumper, but everytime I see a splitter (Ebay / other Forums) it never seems to be financially viable. Woe is me.
Sjdickso It really does finish the car off well, Matt did a very good job on the paint work and match was spot on bit more polish and then a wax and it should be spot on cheers.. I will post in the other thread but thanks for your help with the bump strips. cheers..
Matt dodger said: looks the nuts Matt, how many coats blue and laquer did you put on? There is about 6 layers of paint to get an even finish, and 6 coats a laquer, as that gave a nice amount to work with as it was wet sanded back to remove the orange peel.
