Matt Finally purchased a spolier 😃 It's the standard Astra spoiler on the SRI's, and will be collecting it on Monday, and painting in on Wednesday.
Matt I'm just ordering the paint now, going to be using the Paints4U rattle cans again, and the quality is brilliant. If it does turn to shite, I'll just get my local body shop to do it for me.
vocky dodger said: Neil your too slow, Matt's painting it himself how did he slip that reply in there
Matt Collected the spolier this afternoon, and have spent the last 3 hours prepping it. Still needs a few more coats of primer, but it's getting there. There were also quite a few bad defects in the plastic which I've been able to sort with a bit of perseverance. This is it all painted with high fill plastic primer, and it's just upstairs drying after having a coat of Grey plastic primer, and a sanding with 1200grit wet and dry. I'll take some pictures once it's finished drying.
AnGarrek That should finish off your "a*s end" a treat Matt  Full marks for doing the paint yourself too, I've seen a few rattle can paint jobs in the past that would put the pros to shame, it's all about the prep, and you look like you're prepared to put the effort in !! Looking forward to some finished pics !
joey Before Johnny asks what type of mag is it thats, hiding under yer bed. spy.gif Good prep job though.

Matt You bunch of fickley fuckers! Carpet was hoovered last night when I cleaned the house, the "handbag" is a camera bag, and the magazine under the bed....is a Digital Photography magazine
dodger Your spoiler is looking good Matt, i have some red painted door handles which require spraying silver, could you write down a shopping list of bits that i would need.
Matt Wet & Dry (400/600/800/1200 grit) Depending on the state of the handles High Build Plastic Primer (if they are scuffed etc) Plastic Primer Primer (Normal Primer.....this is finer than plastic primer, so gets a better finish before applying the paint) Paint Lacquer I'd highly recommend getting the paint from Paints4U £23.99 with free delivery for everything apart from the plastic primer, and it's next day delivery as well.
