Right Chaps, I've had a responce from Sven and whilst Ive not had the email properly translated yet, I think it reads along the lines that he would find it difficult to order in large bulk the manifolds from dbilas. The best he can do is three manifolds at a time and at a cost of 720 euros delivered. By the time you have then shipped these on to each indervidual in the uk you wouldnt be saving anything really, so the group buy looks doubtfull i'm sorry I tryed my best and it was worth a go. Ill have the email properly translated on monday and Ill post up what exactly has been said.

If you want to order direct from sven, you can probably struggle through with his broken english, but you may get stuck with the invoice and payment instructions. If so then send me a pm and ill help you out. Ill probably put some pointers up on monday night when im next off work detailing the ordering proccess that I've been through. In total with bank charges for the intetrnational funds transfer, my bill was £212 delivered. Its still a good price and around half that of the UK supplier. i recived an email saying mine had been sent out friday ( the day the transfer cleared) so when it arrives I'll let you know that all is well and that the deal is good.

I dont see much movement in the 4-2-1 group buy and the other altrnative, this tubular place? are they making a manifold thats generic for the Astra, Vectra and vx220? because I got the impression it was going to be a vx220 only thing leaving the rest of us out.

I don't think it would matter with a manifold Jim does full systems for the Lotus/Vx but you can just buy the menifold , won't be that cheap though I have decided to have a 4-1 made by him and it should be ready next week over £600 ouch but his work is first class , best Ive seen

OUch indeed, £600 is a lot of money for a manifold with no cat. I hope the gains are big enough to justify the cost. you will have to post us all a picture when its done, as im sure it will look very nice. 8)

Well 600£ is pretty much, but the Thorney Equal length 4 branch Manifold is 1000£ so thats almost twice as expensive.

I won the manifold tonight on ebay for 220 euros only to receive an email after the auction telling me that he cannot ship to England! I'm not entirely sure what the problem is between ebay and Germany but there is some sort of issue??

So I have to go through his online shop instead.

I used the google translate tool to help..well..translate my email into German.

It must work ok, I've managed to order mine like this.

Hold the phone chaps!!

After a lengthy flurry of emails translated with Google Translator, Sven has agreed to send the manifold outside of the ebay transaction. I've got the invoice thru' so i've just got to go to the bank tomorrow so that I can send an international transfer.

Massive thanks to Vid for his suggestion of Google translation and also for helping me with the invoice details.

Just to check you translated the payment instructions properly, and for anyone else who buys one from Sven, you do know that you have to include the invoice referance number in your money transfer details so when he recives the money he knows who its off and for what. Just I thought it was quite easy to miss.

Also, the Invoice he sends out dosent have the full address of the bank in germany which your bank will need to be able to procsess the transaction properly. The address is: -

tbh i'd rather spend a bit more for a good 4-2-1 mani with a sportscat so im PRAYING it will go through. Good alternative though for now...

I'm just waiting on the laser-cut flanges for this design - should be with me this week coming. I'll start full production shortly afterwards. Delivery in mid-Feb for any orders I guess. The header will look like my 4-2-1 design for the 111R - pics on the site. The primaries will be split so that it will be easy to fit, no cutting out of the boot area! It will have a flange to bolt to the Cat on the 2bular system. Price will be same as the 4-2-1 for the 111R.

Cool, Im pleased for you, it should be a really nice piece of kit. not much good for the rest of us with an Astra, Vectra or Zafira though. 🙁
