The std ones normally only crack due to the pre-cat still been in place dunno..
no all cast manifolds crack removing the precat just reduces the heat cycle that causes the cracking, it'll just take longer.
It's worse on the z22se than other engines as the manifold is at the back of the engine so reaches a higher max temp than at the front as there's less cooling air flow, it's esspecially bad in a VX.
