Just been told at work, that as the Harriers have been grounded we're now going to take over the servicing of FLIR's at Marham. I've been lucky to have been trained up on most of the kit in our building including all the avionics suite, RAPTOR, DJRP, TIALD, ECM, TNR Radar and Laser, really looking fwd to this

Still on it sir, well sort of. I was Team Leader of the unit on this project but 8 months ago I was moved onto another new project heavily involved with start up of a complete new manufacturing facility. 3x Hermle C30U 5-Axis machining centres with Erowa 12 pallet robot loading system along with 5 other CNC machines for high quantity production of A320/A321 Flap Track Beam Assy.

Although, tomorrow I am being drafted back into the Future Lynx unit to help out as we're a man down and we have visitors from Agusta coming to look round. The Future Lynx helicopter has also been renamed now as the Agusta Westland AW159 Lynx Wildcat.

Don't know what the pod is. That pic was a press photo from Farnborough airshow last year. My boss has some more pics that he took when he went up there. Jammy bugger blagged his way into the cockpit too.

As part of the Defence review we will be hit as the Harriers are been grounded and the FLIRs will no longer be repaired.
