Daz Neil...do u reckon this would be any good modified with a flange to suit the z22 head.... Not to concerned that it aint stainless as it will be wrapped anyhow...
vocky as long as it will fit the port spacing it can be made to fit 🙂 you can buy the flange from the usa, sometimes on ebay or GM 🙂
JohnnyN Where the pipes are attached to the manifold plate, it doesn't look like there's much weld holding it??
Daz I'll order up a manifold to head gasket 2morow and source a bit of plate to make the flange....then i'll ring my m8 at the local scrappy and see if he got a manifold and downpipe....
Daz Made a start on the flange today... Pick up the manifold on saturday,then i can start trial fitting it 2gether after cutting the port holes.... Neil.... Do i need any of the other holes in the gasket drilled aprt from the ports and the mtg holes....
vocky you only need the mounting bolt holes and the four exhaust port holes 🙂 remember to make the port holes slightly bigger so the downpipes can slide inside 🙂
Daz Thought as much m8,,,the other are for the egr if i'm correct in my thinking....Besides that,is there any reason for me not to cut the steel to the shape of the gasket,i.e does it fit around any awkward areas...

Daz From ure pic neil it looks like space is quite tight around the top stud area....so will modify my flange to suit..(ideally cud do wuith a spare head to mock up on) Heres todays progress.. Spent a few hrs facing the steel of true....got there in the end tho...
