doesn't help having an old MIG welder, I really need a nice new TIG :roll:

Vocky is that a standard 180 bend with smaller diameter pipe with miltek? ask's to save getting under the car yet again!!!

If so will ask Jim Valentine to make me one up at the same time as my 4-1 he is working on 😃

yes the milltek U bend is slightly smaller :?

it's worth doing on even a standard vx exhaust, the small U bend is so restrictive for flow, it really should be 3" on a 2.5" system :roll:

What is the curve radius? I just saw the following on ebay:

looks like a bargain if it is the right radius... 60mm is almost 2.5" (its 2.36" apparently)

centre line must be 165mm [centre of pipe - centre of pipe]

an ideal U bend in 60mm 🙂

finally got around to (burning my fingers) fitting the lagging today :lol:

I stupidly (see above) took it for a blast first to check the tyre temp and after fitting the lagging and another blast later the tyre was much cooler 😃

Vocky do you remember if the flange to the cat is the same size on the Miltek and the standard vx exhuast?

The U bend you lent me I have been trying to get one made up in 2.5inch the guy I am speaking to said if it is the same flange as on the miltek system I have, then the flange would have fairly thin side walls if that makes sense :?

I have a 2.5" flange on my cat, so used a matching 2.5" on the new U bend

but not sure what milltek fit to the cat, the bolt holes are the same for both the standard and the milltek U bends.

might be worth having the flange changed on your milltek cat dunno..

even if you don't the extra flow from the U bend will still be better 🙂

measured the gap today, 60mm :roll:

I am getting the flange cut and have organized for the ubend to be made, Thought I might get more than 1 made as othere may be interested

I'd be very interested in 2.5" 3 bolt flanges in stainless if you're having some made 🙂
