The oil pressure thing :

The guys at the hydraulic service were not so much confident in using the Vocky style solution, they said it should break.
As we use a standalone and don't need the factory sensor we decided to use the stock oil pressure sensor location for our oil pressure manometer.

And the begining of the work on the air filter :

The white tissue is a constant 60µm interleave tissue, used by F1 teams
The foam is a classical "ITG" style foam only here to block bigger things without damaging the tissue.

I'm not concerned by their comments because my method of extending the oil pipe uses the correct high pressure fittings supplied by the biggest UK hose specialist, Pirtek 🙂

but I am a little concerned with the pipe they have supplied you with (in your pic), can the green pipe and push-on fittings really handle 100 psi oil pressure notsure.gif

I would advise you to replace the green pipe with a crimped hose before you run your expensive new engine cheers..

I don't want the best built z22se engine in europe seizing because of an oil pipe coming apart :shock:

Well, I'm 100% confident in what they do, it is the guys developping the hydraulic system of this years F1 engine 🙂
Anyway I'll ask them, better be sure 🙂

About the method you used (and I was about to use) their concerns are not about the pressure but with the engine vibrations.
They think the sensor should break, not the fittings, especially mine which has a small M10 thread

For sure the F1 guys tested this, but I'm just curious about the usageof this filter stuff.

A normal panel fiilter (OEM paper or aftermarketh oil-cloth like K&N) is extensively folded so the air sees a lot more surface area then the box dimensions. Yours now only has box lenght x width...

Agree, but if only you have seen how these things are not restrictive at all, you'll understand immediately how much better they are.
You can simple breathe at one side of the filter and feel it at the other side without any restriction, it is simply extremely impressive.

So it's more like a foam panel filter, only this one actually filters the dirt out.. 😃
