slindborg sorry, digging up a slightly older thread here 😃 Did SiValves supply stock sized valves that were wasted in the end? do you have a catologue number etc for the part or is it an email and get them custom made job?
slindborg fleabay, utter utter steal of a price.... £75 inc postage lol. Mind you ill happily be laughed at if its warped and cracked to feck.. but the ad claims its fine and there are no odd colourings in the combustion chambers.
vocky that's cheap  some good finds on there if you scan all the various countries 🙂 best yet is a certain member (not me) who has just won a set of sc injectors for £13 posted
slindborg this was a UK find lol. think the woman wanted shot of her hubbies spare parts lmao. ohh need to find those injectors! anyway VALVES 😃
alanoo vocky said: I believe they did 😃 what's the part number Alanoo..... notsure.gif ALAN, WE HAVE BOTH STANDARD HEAD DIAMETER AND 1MM OVERSIZE HEAD DIAMETER VALVES FOR THE 2.2 ECOTEC. THESE VALVES ARE $12.50 EACH PLUS SHIPPING. THANK YOU PETER WIGBELS GENERAL MANAGER [siindustriesinc@aol.com](mailto:siindustriesinc@aol.com) they did not told me the part number
slindborg Alan, did you have "trouble" with Si offering mroe and more parts? lol.... I was supposed to only be spending $200 on valves, now theyve got me thinking about an uprated valve train lol, fcukers.
alanoo slindborg said: Alan, did you have "trouble" with Si offering mroe and more parts? lol.... I was supposed to only be spending $200 on valves, now theyve got me thinking about an uprated valve train lol, fcukers. Well, with the Schrick kit, all my valvetrain is already uprated 😃
slindborg double valves springs etc? been quoted $900 for valves + gm racing valvetrain (springs, spring platforms, ti retainers and stem seals)..... im not sure how nessecary that lot is for not mega lairy cams/revs..
alanoo Stock valvetrain is ok upto 7000 rpm with mid spec cams (regrinds like piper) but not higher. Just remember to ask them what is the max permitted valve lift with their setup without any work on the head !
alanoo Yep but if their setup is a bit easier to fit than the Schrick one (I mean with the same lift allowed), it may be a good deal
vocky my valves were about $20 each = $320 so that makes the other bits $600 or £300, quite expensive dunno..
slindborg $700 is a lot for no huge gain. im more than likely going down the catcams route as they are £400ish and can get any spec desired (even a custom grind for the same cash)
alanoo Just be aware that their spring setup is definitely not for road use. (valve stem seal removed, oil consumption will be important)
