alanoo Vocky showed us the way, Vocky is the prophet, we'll follow Vocky ! WE NEED some wasted stem valves OE size 😃 I'm mailing Karo from carcustoms.net to see if he has a solution for us (he already has some cheap +1mm ones)
vocky try emailing http://www.sivalves.com they supplied my +1mm items and I'm sure they could make some standard size valves dunno..
alanoo Just got a reply from Karo I do have +1mm valves AND stock size valves I don’t know why the stock size not showing up on the website… same price tho… http://www.carcustoms.net/product_info. ... cts_id=281 Cheap ones too 🙂
alanoo winstar said: Could you not just turn down the OE ones on a lathe? Well personally I won't take the risk with the 7600 rpm and 12mm valve lift I'll have :?

I wouldn't for 7600rpm, what crank are you going to use for that speed? but I'm sure I could knock up a model to have a look at the stress levels for more modest engine speeds. Vocky don't suppose you've got a std valve floating around you can measure up?
vocky simple answer is the standard valves cannot be machined down 🙁 vastly different shape, which is why the gains are so good 🙂

alanoo vocky ? I remember seeing a piccy of your head with valves fitted (a view from the intake side), but couldn't find it anymore Any help for me ? Just to illustrate how the intake side looks with this kind of valves 🙂

Got some more info, and they are NOT undercut stem for the stock size ones. Will look elsewhere !

alanoo Yep remember too, that was sexy I think it was on vx220.org but can't find it anymore too... Just mailed sivalves about OE sized valves, waiting for a reply 🙂
slindborg I assume they are wasted? are the exhaust stainless steel or inconel (like the ferrea valves but not wasted))
alanoo Yep Stainless steel I doubt you will find wasted stem Inconel valves, because Inconel valves are specially made for boosted applications, and boost + wasted stem is not a big love dunno..
slindborg wasted exhausts are "ok" but wasted inlets are bad on a boosted app. anyhoooo $13 a valve is pretty good for wasteds 😃 might be worth buying a few sets
vocky alanoo said: Wonder if this wasn't the piccy ? that's a Courtenay stage 1 with standard valves  these are my stage 3 inspired inlets 😃
