bobssy Had this problem with my old P reg vectra, altinator went when I replaced it went to try it and couldnt turn the key. Hand to go to vauxhall to get the one to fit the key, think it was about 40 odd quid. but that were 2years ago...hth.
Europa_Blue_SE1 Thanks John mate I think you're right mate so would the barrell being fcked cause the light to go out mate? I think I'll put it into a garage to get it looked into as I don't want to fck about with the airbags etc I just can't understand it it's been problem free till now... :evil: So do you think it'll need to be a new barrell 🙁 cheers.. Europa_Blue_SE1 Thanks for the heads up Daz I have just been out I put a bit of household oil on the key in the ignition and round the barrell so far it's ok but with what you're saying I think this will only be a temp fix I'll take it down to the garage or if I get the time I'll replace it myself with the Old mans help... bobssy if u get a new one from vaux they can take ur reg/chassis numbers etc and get u one made to fit the original key. Mine was working fine untill I went to use it one day. I had just spent out on an altinator to so I wasnt amused.
