Help, Throttle body

Well been for diog today (at no cost at all) and there doesnt seem to have any mass flow. Where would I find the sensor for this?

Also found 6 unknown fault codes. Would vauxhall be able to get these codes?

No he didnt give me the codes. he started the car and when he went through everything the mass flow was staying on 0(zero). Where would I find this?

the z22se doesn't have a air mass meter, but it does have a map sensor

that is behind the throttle body just to the right of it.

Will I need to remove the tb to access it and can it be cleaned?

you do need to remove the tb to access it, not sure about cleaning it as it's a pressure sensor and can easily be damaged dunno..

I am a little concerned with the code reader used, you should get standard Tech2 codes and they are listed on this site, all should be readable.

the fact an air mass code was found when the car has no such system is a little worrying dunno..

I would try to get the codes read somewhere else (after repairing the wire)

Mass flow was showing 0 when he went through the handheld computer. (When it shows exactly what temp is/idle speed/mass flow etc) Did not show up as a code fault. Going into vaux on thursday to have it read properly on thier system. Phoned today and they said they would be able to get the codes and faults and then give me a price on repair. (Hope to do myself or get done by someone local).

Thanks vocky recieved cable and pin, fitted to car but still no joy see what vaux say tomorrow. dunno..

Well had car back and they say its the inlet manifold gasket. £182.50 to repair???

What! Thats should be an easy enough DIY job I would have thought. How much for the parts?

cant be more than a fiver for the gasket set
its only a few rubber bands after all :roll:

Well Im very pleased to say that my car is now running smoothly and all this was down to the inlet manifold and inlet manifold gasket both needed replacing.

All done and its now a lot quicker woohoo cheers..

A common problem when some budding mechanic changes the oil filter and inadvertantly cracks the inlet manifold. New £35.
