fuel pressure mod (with modified inlet systems)

Just done mine and had a quick drive - initial results are,

It's smoothed out the lumpy idle form the cams, and it's now a rock steady 750prm
Pickup seems quicker, and it's not 'bogging' down as much

All that makes sense too as with my inlet setup I've got sod all vacuum at low revs above the butterfly, but plenty below.

had mine done about a week now and i have noticed good pick up from
lower rpm where before it was all noise and no action.had four adult passengers
and junk in the car yesterday and it still managed to pull quite well(much to my wifes annoyance! :roll: )

showo.. definately made a differance got rid of a bit of a flat spot in lower revs and must admit fuel consumption has reduced alot and pick up speed alot better , would be interesting to dyno with it in original place then move it and see the acutal difference it made??

2 nipples for fpr pipe

just been reading this thread so been out to car to change pipe over question is theres 2 nipples with caps on does it matter which one fpr pipe goes on?also in vockys pictures at start of thread next to the big black pipe theres another small black pipe which looks like it pushes onto a nipple to the right of the big black pipe my car dosent have this what is it? i have an astra by the way if that makes any difference thanks

You don't have this on the Astra. On the Vectra its a vacuum pipe for the interior heating system. You may use either nipple for the fuel pressure reg pipe.

I will have to do mine next weekend.
Am i right in thinking that a power boost valve with above would be useless?

Picked up my goodies yesterday, what a game trying to fit, so took it back out again.

you don't need a power boost valve :roll:

Would this be worth doing to my motor guys? All ive done so far is derestricted the standard airbox and fitted a new panel filter, and removed the egr pipe from the intake.

it needs to be done on any modified intake, yours is modified 🙂
