Well i could not get home last night i might be able too tonight. My thoughts are with all the people who have lost there lives and have lost homes ect. Here is some photos my friend took.

OMG that's bad Si! I forgot you stayed there mate hope you weren't affected by the flood either mate...
And sorry to hear about your family Lisa hopefully everything will calm down and I really feel for you guys and your family and all your freinds etc that have been affected by the flooding guys... 🙁

It is/was very bad here, having the M1 closed caused so much problems, luckily I was able to stop at my mums (nr where I work in Wakefield) so didnt have to drive home every day after work etc as I stopped there for 4 days which was lucky.

Also my house hasnt been effected with the floods (some how if i was i dont think it would have last long as its only 18 months old and not as tough as older houses i would have thought)

It looks like things are starting to get a little better. Tomorrow I'm helping my brother-in-law take the interior out of his car so it can dry, as it was flooded to just below the wingmirrors. I just hope there isn't as much rain over the weekend, as I'm not sure how Sheffield will cope with more of the same.

Is Meadowhall still closed?

Glad everyone else on here who lives in the area are all ok. The roads are now much better esp now the M1 has re-opened. 2.2 I did the same slept at my parents house, on the boarder of barnsley.

Matt Meadowhall is still closed, not sure when it is going to re-open. I just hope the rainfall that is expected tomorrow just does not come, as Matt said i am not 100% sure on how the area is going to handle it.

Ive got this weekend off and was hoping to go to Meadowhall and sort more things for our wedding but doesnt look like that will happen now.

I came home from work at about 1am Thursday morning, and wasnt able to get off at Junc 33 (M1) due to the exit closed etc so had to come off at meadowhall, and there wasnt any traffic lights working, all in darkness and managed to get lost slightly and couldnt find my way outer there for alittle while, but managed in the end..
