Well, looks like I'm stuck at work over night.

It's tempting. The bigger problem we have, is there is only 1 person on shift tonight, and the person we had coming in to cover is flooded in at home, so I may end up working a 22 hour shift.

My mrs works got flooded last week when we had major rain...she strated work 8 am tues,finished at 6pm..was back in at 9pm and got home 1030am wednesday..she was totally whacked out..

It's the same here, 3 usually have 3 people on shift on the night, but due to leave, and sickness, there is only 1 turned up. So, looking after the place while my manager is away, I had to try and get cover. No one would do it, so I'm stuck here. Got some cookies and a curry through from Morrisons, so that sort of makes up for it, plus I get OT.

My mrs wont get paid for the extra she done as sh'es salaried and they dont pay overtime....so she had the rest of wednesday off..

I'm salaried, but we do get overtime. I'll have done 25 hours this month so far, some on time and a half, and some on double (next Saturday night/Sunday morning) so will be a nice little extra amount in August

Yeh i usually do a silly ammount of o-time.. Pretty much every month i clock up about 50 hours :?

We've got to be careful at the minute, we there are a few of us averaging over 45 hours a week for a 17 week period, which we aren't allowed to do.

Yeah, it's not good at all. That park where the boy has drowned is where I take the dog for a walk, and the "river" is usually only a 1 foot deep stream. We are also next to the Sheffield Airport, and can see all the Yellow helicopters landing for fuel and taking back off again.

The roads which are empty are normally really busy at rush hour, but were closed by the police.

A drop of rain never hurt any one.

Done 34 mile on way home tonight avoided the hold ups except 200 yards away- Two roads in and a tail back of more than a mile for a puddle!

Some roads were reported ok but have been clossed off all day.

I'll bring a dinghy up Sunday, you will have to supply the paddles though.
