vocky this is what the first pcb version looked like 🙂 <u>pcb</u> = <u>plug</u> - <u>engine loom wire colour</u> green = pin A - brown yellow = pin B - brown/blue [not used = pin C - brown] blue = pin D - (black/blue) or (black/white) red = pin E - (black/red) or (black/brown)
Hareng Is that mine Vocky? Just going to wire it in temp for initial trial around 20 miles and the engine will get hot in traffic. If ok will knock up another 55 mile this afternoon and give it some. Splice jobby for the moment taped up.

Hareng It works, no problems so far done around 40 mile yesterday, so trip to Kettering tomorrow, still taped up temp. All we need now is some sort of box and connection, sure i have seen something recently so will have to do some digging.
Steve_Crisp The best solution is to find connector pins that fit, and then pot it all in resin. I've been meaning to look at this, but have no time at the moment. Steve
vocky another option if you can make your own 🙂 I have removed the engine loom EGR plug and connected the resistors and diodes direct to the wiring loom 🙂 it now sits inside the plastic cable tray, very neat 8)

Magmushroom just wondered if any1 could answer me a Q? I've just got the bits together to make the egr cheater(just fancied a go at building it) but i'm a little confused by the schematic :-$ I know from the thread the zener diode was added to the schematic but is it running parallel to the 1k5 resistor or is it suppose to go in line with it as the other resisitors are in line with the in4001 diodes ? Also I came across a little piece of strip board is it suitable to build on or do i need to find single hole board? Out of interest do u have a part number for the connectors? No biggie i was planning a hard wired but if the pnp would be nice. Cheers m8 btw it was my dad who put the doubt in my head

Magmushroom Cheers Carlos does make it a little clearer. Lol i thought i was right but coz i don't know that much about electronics my old man made me think too much about it.
