Hi there. Someone posted a link to this site (I never knew it existed before, sorry) and referred me to this thread so (assuming it doesn't break any rules) I'd let you know what we'd done.
The kit has primarily been developed for the VX220 but very early on in the development phase we widened its scope to the other applications for the engine. We've been working with Webcon for over a year on this so its been a drawn out process but we're almost there now.
The only truly gospel figures I've released have been those attained under testing at Webcons dyno which is 161bhp at 4100rpm, considering the 2.2 in the VX generates about 98bhp at 4100rpm (standard engine) thats a pretty impressive gain.
Now we did have a load of issues with the development car in that it was running Piper cams (as part of the stage 3 I developed whilst at AmD) and these have shown to cause quite a few problems so when we developed our own stage 3 we spoke at length with Schrick and only use their kits which include double valve springs, caps, collets etc so its basically a complete top engine rebuild.
We've done about 6 stage 3 VX220 NA cars and they all produce around 180bhp (some more, some less) and really do give the tuned VXT's a run for their money so add on the TB kit (I can't see it adding 60bhp but some Euro tuners with home made kits seem to claim it) but it should be well over 200bhp with the stage 3 engine work.
We've got a customer with a 2.2 Zafira who has been helping us with the kit on his so we should be reasonably primed to make it available to the other chassis applications as soon as testing is complete. We test all of our developments on road and track and dyno for some time so it'll be a little while and there will be three versions of the kits depending on application and level of engine tuning already present.
If you like I can keep you updated here, but concious that I dont want to break any rules on promotion so let me know.
Cheers,
John
