new monitor

i've juast had a new monitor delivered under warranty as my previous one went faulty. what i want to know is do i get a 12 month warranty on the new one or will i only have what was left of the warranty on the old one?

Your new one should be covered by a 12 month manufacturers warranty, and then any existing time on a 3rd party warranty should be transferred onto the new one.

ah right cool cos the warranty on the old one was due to run out at the begining of next month.

i'm on my 3rd monitor in 11 months lol.

Bloody hell, I need to report my laptop to the warranty company as well, as it's not charging. I think it's the converter which is broke, as the light doesn't come on when you plug it in, so need to call them later on this morning, as I bought a 5 year warranty for it.

my laptop was falling apart 12 months after buying it so i sold it.

the battery was knackered and wouldn't charge at all, the plastic around the screen was split and would open up when closing the screen and the keypad kept coming away.

Bloody hell. Just called them up now, and the claim has been submitted to the insurance company. Just looking at how much it will cost for a new adapter, and the official one is £90! Feck Me!

i priced up a battery for my old laptop before i sold it and that was around the £90 mark

Well, I got a letter yesterday morning, because they apparently tried calling me back, but I was in all day, and didn't have any missed calls. Anyway, they are coming to pick the laptop up between 08:00 and 17:00 today.......bugger, I'm going to be in bed. So they've got to phone me to wake me up! But at least it's going to be repaired as part of the warranty.

Cheers fellas, they came at 08:10 this morning to collect it, which was a bonus, I've hada good 8 hours sleep today, which is a lot for me when I'm on nights.

Don't know, it's not really an issue, I as don't use it that much since I got the Desktop....so just as long as it gets fixed.

I've got my laptop back this morning......they have done a fantastic job on it. They have replaced the PSU, and when they brought it be back, I thought they'd sent the wrong laptop. But, it wasn't. They have also replaced the case on top of the monitor as well, as there was a crack in it on the bottom left hand side 😃
They've also cleaned it up for me as well, and it's like brand new again.

Sure am Andy, I've actually been using it this afternoon, rather than it just being sat under the sofa.
