vocky that vec c 1.9 u had was standard 120 hp right? that should be the 8v and u cant get that to reach 200hp with a tuning box.
since his is 200hp now and prolly around 420nm of torque his engine is the 16v type wich has 150hp standard. With that one u can chip it and bam u'll have 190-200hp

Dont want to dissapoint u nor am i saying the 2.2 isnt a good engine (cuz it surely is and i love mine). But going from a new 200hp common rail turbo diesel with increadible amounts of torque thats not that thirsty to a petrol slurping natural aspirated 2.2 is a BIG difference.
When flooring u wont have that same power that pushes u back in ur seat but that doesnt mean its not fast. I personally love going high in rpms and i also love the sound a petrol engine makes, and how u can feel the power coming out lineary but without a turbo it will drive completely different.
It is possible to make a 2.2 as fast as the astra u have now but the difference is... in the diesel u just have to chip it and yer done. To get the 2.2 there it will cost a shitload of money. Not to mention the petrol costs.
