Hi, before i got the 2.2 i had a V6 cdx. Runnin costs a lot more all round.
Hard choice between power, The V had summit like 170 but the sri does give it a run for the money. The cdx was a lot heavier.
But once the revs right, it did kick arse, and loved a drink.
CDX didnt have the handling me 2.2 got, so on twisties, (i scared myself many times, LOL) the boat i called it. id vote sri 😃
and as i have found out just by puttin the remus on me 2.2.
Happy with the improvement for such a cheap mod.

Also the cdx's leather was a nightmare for me, i used to slip on it, LOL

hmm, decisions decisions??? Glad I've got 9 months to mull it over.

soz to up old topic, but i went against 3 diff v6 veccies at santa pod last year (non gsi) and beat every one of them (albeit marginal on one run). my best run was 16.002 ..... i'd say not a lot in it...

depends on whics Gsi remember, the 2.5 was 192bhp, the 2.6 was 177bhp IIRC
