Kits include all plumbing, intercooler, manifold, turbo, injectors, software...Absolutly everything you need to get the power you want!

sorry to bring up an old post but if i went for this could i still get more power out of it??

the kit is limited due to the weak conrods, if you fit eagle steel rods, intercooler and a thicker head gasket then 300 bhp should be do-able
a bigger turbo would see 350+ bhp

in the states they get 450-650 bhp easily from this engine showo..

with the dblias kit it says for our engine it get 250bhp is that true?? as i would liek to do this as the s/c conversion dont really float my boat i like turbos lol. what kits do they use in the U.S?

WHAT?!?!? Have you been in a 2.2 with an S/C conversion??

no but the idea of 6k i dont think its worth it 4k would be on my limit for it. and i think th s/c whine could piss me off a bit.

£6k for the S/C including labour charge from Courtenay, £4k for the kit from Regal......you're still gonna need someone to fit that

I spoke to a bloke at PVS who had the turbo conversion for the 1.6, and all in that was close to £6k fitted

still turbo is the way forward 4 me. i will call them 2moz about it all.

Definately! The noise in Mark's Astra was phoenominal when he took me out for a test drive in it. And as JohnnyN said, the S/C only whines when giving it full boot, so drive it steady, and you shouldn't notice until you want to

well i just them all call to find a bot more about it. including fitting it will be £4675 put the car to 260bhp and they say its about 1 week in all for them to do it all. or i could just fit it my self and all t5hey need to do is program the ecu

I doubt it's that hard to fit, but I know what you mean about the sc whine !

yer it cant really be to hard to fit just the ecu programming will take some time. shame i cant fit it all and the drive down there to get it all i doupt the car would run with a turbo strapped to it.

I am very interested in the outcome of this conversion, whether they actually do get 260bhp! Keep us posted mate!

well i aint going to get it just yet lol. but i am really hopin to get it one day i think it seems a better option that sticking a z20let in everyone has already done that and the z20let only runs at 200bhp and to get it to the 250 mark u have to spend about 2k on all the new parts and remaps so i think this is cheaper and more power and no one has really.

You are right about it being different, and if those power figures are true, you are right about it being a better option than an engine conversion...

I've seen the conversion over here in the Netherlands. Looks like a VERY nice install, cleanly done. The only thing I would change is to add some extra heat shielding at the exhaust side (install was in a speedster/vx220). If I recall correctly, he has already driven something like 70.000km with the conversion, and it hasn't missed a beat.

BTW, programming the ECU isn't the part that takes load of time, should be something like 20-30 minutes. Installing all the manifolds and pipework sounds like the big job to me 🙂

cool well i think i am going to start savin on this one as it sounds the best idea i have had for a while. i reckon it could be about a year but i can wait as i am only 19 atm. if anyone has any others pics i would like to see them please.
