well it is a water cooled pump :LOL:

Thats some top quality work and atention to detail. Thats going to take some seriouse cranking then if youve had to fit a stay to the starter. The end result of this build is going to be one hell of a z22! drool.gif

I finished fitting the remote thermostat housing and heater hose

I have also been plumbing in the pump inlet pipework, it's not as easy as it sounds, getting the heater return, coolant expansion tank takeoff and the actual main coolant pipe through the area above the gearbox is very tight. You think you have it sorted and then you remember another part, which is removed for access, has to sqeeze into the gap :confused:

I have a few more plans for my vx220 :silent: , so I doubt it will ever be 100% finished, but it's getting there 😃

update;

I've fitted the pump controller and wired it up, also wired up the sump oil level sensor :thumbup:

I had to move the oil gauge sender pipe as the new coolant pipework was too close for my liking, a quick bit of work on a lathe sorted that 😃

I will be returning the webcon ecu for a software upgrade for a new five tooth trigger wheel, this should finally resolve the starting issues I have with the engine - the side effect of removing the balancer shafts, removing the water pump + chain, using strong double valve springs, fitting high compression pistons, skimming the head and fitting a lightened flywheel 🙁

On a more happier note my new seats are on the way 😃

One thing i noticed on your manifold you made. Why didn't you weld all the way round the primarys to the head flange?

Was that to stop it pulling a bit? and did you weld the inside of the pipe too?

I seam weld inside the flanges for a gas seal and only weld a few parts on the outside for extra strength :thumbup:

Exactly how it should be done. The reason being if you weld solid round the outside you can crack off (hehe) the pipe from the flange as the weld heat affects the metal. The slugs just help support the pipe in the flange. Of course this isn't always possible.

Thanks for that bit of info guys ill keep that in mind Ill hopefully get round to making my own soon :crazy: .
