You have said you did not re-align the timing marks on the balance shaft when you put new chain. This could be a reason it is not starting i think. You would only miss out aligning balance chain timing if you had the balance shafts cut, So i think you should consider this
If the earth strap is off there would be no cranking at all, you would turn the key but nothing would happen, I have had that before,
so i do not think earthing is your issue
Try another coil pack, But if this makes no difference, I would consider doing the timing again starting with the balance shaft chain The images of the main timing chain marks look ok
Remember if the timing is out car will not start, I know this from personal experience using a stretched timing chain which was maybe knocking out timing slightly
