tofferson so a week back I took cluster out to change bulbs, when I put them back in batt light didn't work and alternator did not charge. I tested the switch on wire this was fine and so we're all fuses also when ignition was on there was a buzzing coming from steering pump getting louder. I thought it was the cluster due to me messing with it but when I put a live to alternator I was still getting no output from it so I just bought a new alternator to try . New alternator
tofferson Ok so got my block back today after a bore, hone and fine skim. The Pistons, rods, crank and flywheel have also been balanced.
Dave_Gilbert The steering wheel n centre consol look propper nice aswell. interested in how to do the steering wheel. would it make a worn wheel look new ? Mines quite worn on the top.
tofferson Dave Gilbert said: Do you want to do my back arches, rear chrome strip, vxr spoiler n eyebrows? Nice job. Where abouts are you from, I've just got a new chrome strip was thinking about getting it wrapped in carbon.
tofferson I used leather dye, on it mine was all worn and faded on top before I dyed it, I used white first to help blue cover then I used a leather lacquer. Always liked the gsi steering wheels but they are so expensive and I don't think they did them in blue.
Dave_Gilbert Im in chesterfield. N no i dont think they did do a blue 1. Looks really really nice n suits the car perfect. a carbon wrapped chrome strip would look good on a dark car like yours but i dont like them on a silver car(makes them look like a LS or a mk4 astra with the black door handles n trim to me)
