Just cant seem to get the time on the car this week. Im well pissed off at the minute.

but managed to measure the exhaust today. Decat internal measurement is 52.8mm and se external measurement is 50.8mm so only need to find 2mm so I think a cross cut in the end and some exhaust paste n a new clamp will fix that. Hopeing to have a good few hours on it tomorrow. To get it finished.

Had a few hours tinkering with the car,at first I jist couldnt get into it n felt pissed off still

but the sun came out n got a few jobs done

all fuel lines and vapour or waht ever that is. All done today.
Had to cut turbo heat shield due to massive an10 fittings in the way n decat lambda sensor moved closer.

Pipped up the boost gauge.
modified engine cover so water pipe can stick out the top.

And wrote a list of jobs that still need to be done. I dont think theres much left but looks alot when wrote down

Also have a few quick questions.

I have no plug for the rear supressor so Iv taken Iit off, will it matter?

Also have this earth cable, is it needed?

That Earth strap goes from block to head i think so is needed, supressor not necessarily needed

head to rocket cover so the coil packs get an earth 🙂

Ok that makes sence with a plastic rocker cover

but I now have a alloy rocker cover thats bolted to the head and the coils are bolted to the rocker so shouldnt I have a earth anyway?

Im not saying im right, im just saying haha.

Just ordered another 5 litres of coolant. And waiting on a few pipes and heat protection to arrive.

gonna crack on with the exhaust tomorrow. Gota nip n get a 52mm exhaust clamp n some assembly paste.

So I take my time, if its not going to plan I walk away. I was hoping that the last few bits I need would have landed by now but they havnt so I cant really do much more in the engine bay.

I still dont understand which wire is positive for the trigger wheel lol. I have got a positive symble on the sensor which is nice.

Im close, n im pretty sure I will be built by this time next week.

there is still a gasket on the alloy cover and rubbers on the bolts so there is no real connection to the head
the earth runs from the bolt under the cover to the step on the head you dont have but its where the egr valve would be
think of the alloy plate in my pic as the earth strap

Told you I dint know what I was doing, forgot all about the rubber gasket inbetween hahaha.

cheers for the pic. I know the top bolt hole, it holds the wiring loom in place.

While im thinking of the earth. I tapped all the threads so they were really clean but should I clean the top aswell so the face of the earth and face of the rocker cover are paintless if you get me?.

Maybe but thats easy. 14t turbo n green injectors, front mount n remap. Upto about 250/260bhp cost would be roughly 400/500quid
