Dave_Gilbert ahhhh shit, i didnt want to be changing the gearbox aswell, i still have to figger out the oil pickup on the sump for the turbo aswell, there must be another way around the water pickup
rushy Dave Gilbert said: and next question then, what 5 speed box is fitted to a vectra c? F23 on the z22se vec c's and very early z22yh's then its the 6 speed F32 I think not the F40 on the rest of the z22yh's.
Dave_Gilbert iv got a 6 speed in the donor but i dont want to swap it over, cos if i do i will have to do the clutch aswell (while im there)
rushy Surely fitting the f32 is the way to go? Will the stock clutch in the f23 take the extra power?
Dave_Gilbert i dont know, everyone said it was a good idea at the beginning now its gone abit shady, im scared again hahahaha
rushy Dave Gilbert said: im not in search of massive power anyway, im only thinking 220bhp i dont want to go mad You say that now, give it six months and you'll want more LOL
Dave_Gilbert but i can plan that bit later and i think 220 is well enough for me, iv lived with 150 for 4 years.
evocarlos there would be an issue fitting the f40 with the flywheel just stick to the f23 then mod for the water feed the standard clutch on the 2.2 is fine up to 280hp
evocarlos Dave Gilbert said: ok any good ideas on modding for the water and the oil on the sump? drill hole in sump fit a barb or AN fitting same for the water modd for a supply
Dave_Gilbert found the AN fittings, i understand them now, so i will need to get the sump threaded to fit that, i dont know what the thermostat housing looks like on the se engine so i will need to look at that.
Dave_Gilbert is this on my se engine? that looks like a flat spot on the end which would be a good place to fit a AN fitting, do you concur ?
