My friend brought a cheapy Corsa C, which needed a new TB, ECU and ECM. He got hold of the items 2nd hand, I tried to pair them up but none of them was having it. I kept getting errors saying mismatch this or something... Was a while ago..

It was because the ECM, TB and ECU he got hold of from different places did not unpair them from the donor car first.

You wont need to recode your keys into the immo though as thats already done, just will need to unpair the immo and pair it up again to the NET ecu.

Think he had someone with Tech2 do it, maybe Tech2 will divorce/unpair do all of them with a press of a button, then pair up with another press of a button??

just spoke to my local bristol street vauxhall parts department and he said he can get round needing the logbook(not sure how like but...hay)

so just got to take my licence, the reg(i will take the number plate with me off the car hahaha) and a utility bill, woop woop

so doing that tomorrow morning, £30 including vat though.....

That's good then, make sure you keep it safe as when you pop the NET ecu into your vec this will be the new code.

got another idea then, wouldnt all the other ecus from the net car be the same as my car? couldnt i just swap all the ecus over with the net ecu?

or would it just be quicker and easier to unpair and re pair mine.

That's a good point, providing they are the same then I can't see why not but best to have a google and see...

Don't forget if you do this you will need the instruments, immo and ignition barrel, keys, door locks etc swapped over too.... As the ECU is mated to that instrument, which is mated to that immobilizer which the keys are coded into (also to the ECU) which will match the ignition and the door locks.

If you do it this way then you will need to take you car apart to swap the modules/ecus rather than just un-pairing and pairing again.

Its only got 1 key, then id have to swap door locks aswell, sounds like a ballache

Im sure with tech 2 it will just be a case of a few clicks to remove them and pair with mine.

I need to speak to my man in barnsley and see what he thinks.

just spoke to the guy in barnsley, he sounds like he really knows his electrical stuff, he said he can get the security code from the clocks so thats a bonus, but because hes 30 miles away he wants £60 fuel to get here, but the job is is only £40 and £20 for the code

so £120 total to swap the ecus over then the remap at £300 then it should run......well once iv fitted all the other bits on to it hahaha,

you only need to swap the chips from the key, locks can stay, then when you have time get another remote fob coded in your other old key (y)

I think just swapping ecus and sorting everything that way will be easier, I dont think £120 really bad. I think he must drive something big at that price.

He charges £1 a mile, I suppose its time and ware n tare on the car aswell.

I wish I lived closer to him but what else can i do

i have op-com so i mite be able to do it mesen(myself haha)

may need some guidencebut im sure i can do it.
