Just had a search on the web it kinds points to the map sensor or possibly the Throttle body. I am sure you will get it sorted.

Is the Map sensor a bosch one? I believe they are from a 1.7CDTI but that would need confirming

So im puzzled and reliefed!! Cleared codes again on tech 2 and mechanic told me to take it for a drive and see what happens....Car drives spot on and boosts to 12 psi. So reckon i got a short?

From what I have read Map sensors can be very sensitive, it may come back in a short period time if its faulty or may be a one off.

may be a bad connection some where or a pin pushed back on throttle body? I get the p1516 code if I let the corsa go through bulb check before starting. puts it in to limp mode and then other random codes come on.
can be caused by voltage drop/poor connection. still got to look into it more.
don't panic. it will be something simple.

i had p1171 for a while it was before it was mapped it never came back after it was mapped
google z22se p1171 there quite a few on the plastic car forum with the issue i dont know what the fix is as it never came back on mine once mapped

Had the car out for a drive this morning and it drove faultless. Only thing i can put it down to is it was the first time the car was out when it was really heavy rain and i think water got into something. Once car had stood and dried out it was normal and no codes popped up.

it does seem to point towards the TB, you can use the z22se 58mm TB on a 250bhp engine, makes little difference to power. Don't forget you will need a spacer to adapt the bolt hole position and rewire the tb plug to suit

@[deleted] I'm going to be fitting my vxr front calipers in the next couple of weeks. Which flex pipes did u say i had to get so i can fit the calipers to the coupe?

you will need astra vxr front pipes and banjo bolts as there longer and bigger than the mk4 ones

i did in the end buy a kit for a vectra vxr but that was due to fitting vectra vxr rear calipers the fronts were the same as the ones cs have forsale

Got a question for people in the know......

With the supercharger conversion resulting in my ecu being moved to the passenger side of the engine bay next tp the coolant and washer bottles, I'm going to get a cover (more like a pouch) made to go cover the ECU to protect it from the elements and also me spilling water over it when topping up the fluids. I'm wanting to know is this safe to do? Or will the ECU get to hot and short out/damage it self from heat build up?

The Ecu as standard is open to the elements via grill once the plugs are in they seal themsleves so a tiny overspill I doubt will cause any issues what so ever. So I'd just leave it personally

or dont use a fire hose to fill up your washer fluid 🙂

if you are worried then maybe make a splash shield to cover the top of it?
