Checked the fuse and its fine. Put another 10amp fuse in and still doesn't work. Must be wiring somewhere 🙁

If its a festoon bulb which I would say it will be

id get the wiring from the fag lighter and get to wires to the bulb just to check it works.

OK will try that. If it does then its the wiring. Do you know where the ribbon cable that plugs into the light goes to?

I dont, are you sure the ribbon is ok?

Wiring is defo not my strong point,

I wouldnt have thought any wires inside would be damaged but you cant rule anything out.

The ribbon looks fine. I might take the glovebox out at the weekend and see if the wire goes there to see if its come out or something

Had a similar problem with a 2.2 dti which was a 'c' i was told it was the body module, don't know much about 'b's' just a thought.

I've found the problem. I'm embarrassed to say it was a 30 amp fuse lol

Yeah , the fuses all looked fine when i checked them. Had the glove box out, the side pod out to check the ribbon cable coming from the interior light, tested for earth, everything fine. Thought, ill just check the fuses again, all looked fine , put the probes on and the 30amp was knackered. Wish id checked the fuses before ragging the glove box out lol
