Interior Light wont work!

Hi,

The interior light doesn't work , changed the bulb and still wont work. Took the overheard compartment out to see if the ribbon cable was crimped or anything and still no joy. Any ideas?

Is the boot n glove box lights working?

Id say atleast the glovebox light will be on the same fuse

Come to think of it I don't think the boot or glovebox lights work. Songs like a fuse then?

If there all not working id say the fuse specially if you have changed a bulb aswell.

Got to be fuse id say.

According to the wife she says the glovebox does but the boot doesn't. I'm out so can't check till I get back to work.

Id still check fuses first.
Then work from there.

Just got some one from work to check for me and the boot and glovebox lights work fine.

Mite be on a different fuse then.

Or its in the off position hahaha

Lol it doesn't have an on/off switch but if it had that's something I would do haha

I found mine wouldnt go off in the corsa

The headlight switch pushes in n turns the interior light on n off(I dint even know hahahah)

lol , well i think the previous owner thought the problem was the light switch as ive found a replacement in the boot.

Could be.... what car is it. N what light? Pictures mite help solve the mystory.

Like I say with the corsa, I pulled the light out the roof lining and disconnected it cos I dint know how to turn it off, my nephew turned it on and I had to drive home and couldnt leave it on hahahha.

Ive already tried the new light fitting and it doesnt make a difference. The light is this one..

Doesnt have an on off switch or anything. When i pull the light switch out , it is supposed to turn it on but doesnt,. Also opening the door doesnt light it up either. Changed the bulb and no difference.

Scrap it..... have you got a puc of the switch?

Is it a festoon bulb? Id put 12volt to the bulb just to be 100% sure.

Check the fuse, id check continuity to be 100% sure aswell, sometimes a fuse looks fine and can be dud.

Then its either the swtich or a broken wire.

Try pushing the big twisty 1 in. It just pops in n out alittle.

Well it does on the corsa.

Yeah ive already done that. Doesnt work , i pull it in or out and the interior light doesnt work.

Check fuse number 13 in the fuse box under the steering wheel
