You know anyone that wants a ncdr 1100 and mid from the same car paired together and got the pass too.

I didn't get everything here. You made all this wiring thing just for the CD charger ?
Do you know if I only buy the NCDR 1... and the CID it will work straight away with no adapter ? It should I guess, no ?
Maybe there is a plug I didn't understand (coming from the car), I don't know.
On the car I have my screen is the MID currently..

decided to test the porsche screen in my unit as it was scratch free
bonus it works lol

fitting was fun with a caggy hand

before and after
left old screen(vauxhall owner) right new (porsche owner 🙂)

looks like the vauxhall owner used a wire brush to clean the screen lol

Sorry to barge into the thread - I'm not electrically minded but love what you've done. I have a NCDR1500 unit fitted in my car as standard but with a GID screen. Once a satnav console is fitted, will the proper sized screen plug straight in?

set it all up again to try and get the cd changer working but still get the ""no connection to cdc"
put a cd in and turned it up it sounds great 🙂

screen looks so much better to

next issue is the cid is on pin 12 but the head unit and cdc are on pin 3 which may explain why theres no connection
going to look it up on tis then regroup lol

you not barging your more than welcome to ask questions 🙂 were all here to help if we can
it will plug in and work but you may get display safe
the headunit replicates the code of the screen so to pair them as it were you need to either have the code for the screen or by one that has the security disabled then the use of tech2 to pair them
ive not quite got round to getting mine all paired up yet but from what i understand its easy with tech2 and a code

By tech2 I assume this would be a dealership visit? I do have opcom as I see you've been using that, I only really have it incase a light were to pop onto my dashboard. Will this be enough to pair the units together?

opcom has its limitations with the pairing
i was able to enter the code and reset the 3 failed attempts counter back to 10 meaning the code was accepted but thats as far as i got
the thing is the screen and head unit were already paired when i bought them so i have not yet needed to disable the security but i will be receiving a 4 disc cd changer soon thats of the right alpha code "TB" and i will then need to use tech2
tech2 is the vauxhall programmer but theres a guy local to me that has a unit and has a small fee for small jobs like this

tracking down wires in tis is like getting blood from a stone...

but the wiring is right
cid to pin 12 of the odb port
and the headunit cdc to pin 3 :S ?

Mate, never easy tracing wiring. Even in a repair manual it's never an easy thing to see where the wires goes.
