it won't be as good as a 4-2-1, but is a great improvement on the cast standard item.

as you say, if you already have a sports cat, then the regal 4-1 is ideal.

Hello mate, yeah there's an improvement but since then i havent had the time to get the car back on the rollers to find how much. will put an update on when i can get the time to get it on.

Yes mate I'm still interested in the manifold if they could just leave the cat out i just need the pipe up to the flexi i'm can weld or sleave the rest to my own sport cat.

Sorry mate as for dimensions i can't remember if i get time i'll get it on my hoist and have a look in the week.

I am not sure, if you know that with the Lexmaul manifold you can remove the main cat too. So the sports cat, that is integrated in the manifold, replaces the precat and the main cat! That was new to me. I thougt it replaces only the precat, until i asked a Lexmaul employee at the Essen Motorshow.

The final design is not quite finished and JP Exhausts are fully booked up to Christmas so it makes sense to put the project on hold until the new year.

mister u should go to EDS for phase 2. they will chip yer car, put another manifold with integrated sportscat (i think the one from lexmaul), make ur car pull till 7250 rpm and u can have a session on the rollers to see what u have gained. They promise 170ps for 1250 euro including montage so thats not much imo. I live in Belgium so im going to do this too after winter. I went to essen too but eds wasnt there i think else i would have asked for more info

Sorry to be a pain people but hopful going up a grade at work in the next 2 months but it means driving 60 miles a day and the manifold is getting worse, so.

How long are we thinking about getting these manifolds?

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I'm waiting for JP to come back to me with a firm costing and a date for the work. However, there's not been the interest I thought there would be so there's not likely to be any significant discount. The first one is likely to be in the £650 - £700 range, then a little bit less for any subsequent productions made from the same jig.
JP would need the car for a couple of days, then once the first one is fitted, the car would need dyno testing to make sure there is a worthwhile increase in power and torque. It all takes time to sort out and, at the moment, it's time I haven't got.
When I've got some spare time available I will follow this up. Cheers.

the first two links are for a cast iron 2.2 8v engine, completely wrong 🙁

the third link is for our engine, BUT the angle is completely wrong - it's designed to replace the cast iron usa manifold and bolt to the standard usa downpipe, which goes OVER the top of the steering rack.

the link I posted will require a new lower 2-1 section fabricating BUT the 4-2 section bolts straight onto the euro z22se 🙂

Really want one of these manifolds to butcher.
I have 180mm or less from cam cover to metal paint at bulhead, the angle of piccy makes it look like 185mm.

Do you have to cut or extend the cabling in the trunking? Can it go over the top with the brake vacuum hose and shield?
How hard is it to alter the aircon piping without breaking?
Or better to remove aircon all together. Assume i will have to plug where it goes throughbulhead, right in piccy. Less weight and power absorbed being the advantage. VX220 belt and decompress.
Rubber hose on left as well?

the cable trunking has to be removed, the wiring loom then follows the brake pipes.

the clutch fluid hose just needs shortening.

the aircon pipe can be bent if you heat the pipe first, use washing up liquid on the pipe - when it turns brown it's ready to bend.
