If the starter is clicking you have power so the relay should be ok (I think)

I had a clicky starter on a peogeot 1s n that was just the terminal on the battery needing replacing.

Id bridge the starter motor or take it off n test it with jump leads

I've have tried bridging the connections, still nothing.

The place I got my starter motor refurbed from said the car should start with a bump start even if the SM is dead.

Checked all the fuses and relays, nothing.

UPDATE

Thanks to everyone who has replied.

I fitted another brand new battery, heavy duty one.

Car now cranks 🙂 .... but still wont start.

Strong spark at coil.

Fuel pump working and fuel is flowing.

Put the car in gear and tried to start and the car jumps forward like normal.

Tried bump start again, but still won't start!!

At least it's cranking now, which is a start.

Great news, ok so we have fuel and we have a spark, timing should be good so.

Air and compression, Is the next place I would go.

N now its cranking you should get a fault code if its an electricsl fault, if you can read them.

I was thinking it may be the immobilser, but when cranking no warning lights appear on the dash.

I'm hoping it's something small.

I think the immobiliser kills the spark n you have a spark so I dont think its that, @[deleted] am i right?

I dont like the stuff but why dont you try some easy start down the airbox?

I'm not a fan of easy start, but i'll give it a try.

it it runs on that then it should be an easy fault finding. Have you checked your getting fuel at the rail?

Yea, fuel at the rail.

Had a new 'high pressure fuel pump' fitted 2 months ago.

Over half a tank of fuel.

Spark plugs are a month old.

Does anyone know where the cam and crank sensor are located in the engine bay?

Timing chain looks fine

So you have it turning over, you have spark, fuel and timing

So its got to be 1 of 2 things

AIR or COMPRESSION.

Had the AA out and they said the chain has streched or timing is out.

Trying to find a guide online but no luck.

Would you have a link to a guide i can follow?

Best person to talk to about timing chain is @[deleted] but hes not normally on till late at night

I have his phone number but id have to ask him first to check if I could give out like (you know it is)
Or best to search his name and find content, im sure hes done a guide.

But to start to check timing you will need to see the cams pointing the right way. And the crank is set correctly (im not sure on these engines theres abit strange) I think the cams sit at 10 and 2 facing each other on cylinder 1(if you get me) but not sure where the crank is (normally top dead centre)

Timing marks on the sprockets are at ten and two but facing away from each other not towards each other.

So by the look of yours its out. Rear sprocket looks verticle and the front looks about right to me. Is that how it is?

If so. Its all chains off and replace. I dont think any internal damage would have been done at this point. But like I say im not a pro. Best to talk to carl. Ohhhhh @[deleted].

so its the z22yh direct injection lol if i had known that sooner i would of said the ex cam is out by 2 links the cam sensor stops the engine firing if its out by to much
