If you get stuck, I've got a head and chain kit ( genuine Vx ) for £175. Chain kit has covered 3500 miles before the car got rear ended.

Has the chain snapped do you know? It's just haven't the yh engines got a cam sensor that if its slightly out stops it from starting etc? If it's just that then you might be lucky and just get away with a chain kit.

I would also recommend Carl. Top bloke who knows his stuff 😉

Sorry to hear about the issue, as everyone said sure someone can help out and get it back up and running. I am also Sheffield based.

definatly don't scrap it. Would be a shame at least investigate further or get a second opinion Carl is the man that can though

No mate,the chain didn't snap. They said at the garage it jumped a couple of teeth. They did a visual inspection and valves are damaged

Yeah it would be great if Carl could take a look at my car. Everyone is mentioning Carl as the guy who can fix these engines The only problem is the car is now a non runner and I'm stuck in Sheffield. Thanks for your advice!
