I've read few posts on here about the CTS and mine not doing any of the symptoms, using fuel, loss of power, fan not kicking in. The coupe just misfires for few secs and more I think of it I'm convinced its fuel starvation.

Sorry Carl I wasn't very clear your right 95 or 99 Ron is but I was told that injector cleaner can lower the rating so once added to your fuel you don't get as much bang to your buck lol you get the gains once it has gone through 🙂

yes thats right the cleaners do lower the octane level of fuel in the tank but its just for that tank to clean the system then the next fill is the go go juice 🙂

Maybe fuel filter, may do the trick.

Cheers bud and I take it I screw the 2 clips into the car carpet for the mats to locate???

mine was the same kit but bought them a long time ago now but in the bag came the clips to fix it to the carpet

Well changed the fuel filter and colour of the petrol that came out of it was a black shutty colour. So run the car see if it sorts it out.

Have you tried it out yet mate? Any joy? I need to change my fuel filter I got it when I got the chains and haven't jack the back up since lol

Car ran fine all day touch wood. I've put a bottle of that forte cleaner carl recommend in as well. I was shocked how dirty the fuel that came out was :eek:

My local machanic told me to run it for 1000 miles and change it again. He thinks my tank could be the problem as he's not seen a fuel filter in that state before.

Ah that's a result hopefully that's cured it then :-)

my fuel filter was full of black the last time it was changed i dont use esso fuel any more 🙂

Does our shop sell the CTS? And is it in an easy location to swap out? Might as well do it if cheap part.
