Steve's one is literally a bolt on and go as I bought everything needed and it's already mapped and running 260bhp

Edit: just spotted your picture, anythings possible if you can be arsed but I like my bonnet so I'll stick with just the one 😃

think the final figures will be all down to the condition of the engine internally but at least you know thats what that kit did last time it was mapped 🙂
any more than 260hp and you will need a fuel pump i did at 273hp 🙁 after mapping it still ran lean at the top end
the standard manifold is where it was at with mine the extra restriction kept the boost up giving more power 🙂 im going to have to change it/make new one to push past the where im at now

fit it above the exhaust manifold then stick a long belt on it then pipe it to the inlet of the other charger ""twin charge"" 🙂

yeah the power bulge look haha 🙂

Yeah fuel pump will be on the cards as I don't want the standard pump being maxed out, may be alright on the road but held at max chat for 15-20 minutes on track will ultimately kill it I suspect.
I wouldn't recommend the piper exhaust tbh the wall thickness is to small and this one has various cracks in it. I will repair it and use it but eventually I will make my own.

Yeah don't really want to not being able to see out the bonnet with the extra bulge, already can't see the end due to the irmscher extension

Lots and lots of people had issue's with the piper unit, from cracking and poor fitment. Think many swapped them who had then and piper stopped selling them some time ago.

Not checked on fitment yet but I'm making a new down pipe anyway so can make that to suit.

Shame really as if it was just 0.5mm thicker it would no doubt be fine

some had issues with it top flange fitting as well but your should be fine as it has been previously been fitted.

Had a good couple of hours on the car, managed to cure a few boggling problems, first being the fan no longer kicked in, I've tried the CTS in the past and doesn't seem to be the fault as I've replace with new and tried a known working one. Had a good poke round the wires and traced back and managed to spot the culprit (hopefully) the earth stud for the rad Ecu wasn't done up tight, to my knowledge I've never touched this but hey ho, tried to do it up and it sheared off.....minge! Luckily there was already a factory hole a inch or so away so just cleaned it all up and nut and bolted it back on.

Stripped the wiper motor down as it was sticking on return on intermittent found the end had burnt out/worn down

Decided after looking at the design it was plausible to just bend the end over, won't last forever but will last a while.

All back together and joints silicone greased, added a thicker washer to remove the play I had in the linkage at that end, rock solid now and all working as it should be

EML light came on the other day so read them off, not sure why the EGR valve is on as I have a cheater fitted and it all removed.
The other one relating to the throttle bodie I will keep an eye on as if it's faulty I'll replace it with one if my spares.

I've started cleaning up and checking all the parts for the supercharger conversion. I've re welded the Piper manifold that had cracked in varies places mainly due to the warped flange so when clamped down it's causing it stress which lead to cracks

Will be giving that a skim once I get some more sanding belts for the table sander, I've skimmed the down pipe flange ready though

Also mock fitted the charger kit on, just need to make a few spacers and get a longer belt and tensioner so I can include the air con pump

Slowly getting a drip feed of parts turning up ready for phase 1 of the supercharger conversion.
so far:
TTV billet flywheel
2 part epoxy resin (for mounts)
Lambda boss and bung (for wideband)
Supercharger oil

And also cleaned up a spare Z22SE clutch pressure plate and dug out a spare C20LET Helix 4 paddle friction plate (had over heating issues with standard clutch on last track day)

Lots more bits turning up before I can pull the engine out and change parts.

Also decided to clean up and paint a alloy rocker cover, had a spare can of high temp matt black, thought about body colour but from previous experience of hard use on track the normal paint just gets too hot and starts to flake off so went with the high temp stuff, will look good against the polished charger.

Also painted the oil filler cap as the yellow just looked crap on the black

watch out for the oil in the charger is stinks so dont get it on you lol
the proper oil is polyester oil and is clear it is expensive lol i just went with 100ml of atf

the ttv is a nice part and cheap for the money did you consider sending the clutch plate off for repair ? cg do them cheap

Yeah mounts should certainly be solid, will stop the engine rocking around under hard acceleration and more importantly diving under hard track braking.

Yeah seen that but tbh I have two spare alloy ones so didn't want to shell out :LOL:

Noted cheers, might even wear some gloves then :p I did think ATF would work but thought sod it and got some proper ish stuff, should have more than enough to do both chargers.

They are nice flywheels, same one on my C20LET and has been faultless so happy to get another, thankfully the paddles have loads of material left on them so don't need re padding yet, would ideally prefer a 6 paddle in there as they drive better day to day but I had this spare so was money's saved 🙂

Decided I wanted to make the most out of the supercharger so gave it a quick port job, so stripped it partly down so I was just left with the outer cover

And a side by side for a kind of before and after to show what's been enlarged. I've also welded up the silencer holes so it's gonna scream like a bitch

Absolutely 😃 Read a article from eaton stating that the silencer holes were only put there as manufactures didn't want the chargers to loud so I've just reverse engineered it 🙂

If I was back i'd be in the Corsa though as it's normally on the team vauxsport TOTB stand as that's where we do our drag qualifying. The Astra is just a side project really :whistle: Maybe next year I will bring the Corsa and get my friend to drive the Astra there for me (y)

Not much of a update but been stock piling parts ready for the supercharger conversion, only part I don't have now is the belt

2 x Z20NET inlet gasket
Thermal inlet gasket (was gonna make my own but got lazy)
Exhaust manifold gaskets
Bosch 2.5bar map sensor
2 x lambda bosses
Rocker cover seals
GM coolent
Water wetter
Chill charger
Exhaust bends and flexi
Cool running thermostat
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Balancer shaft chain kit
Slave cylinder
Noise supresser
Also tax was due at the end of the month so dug out the MOT certificate and it ran out on Jan 6th! ARSE! MOT booked for next day and after repairing a sticking handbrake cable it passed with flying colours
