Made the most of a Halfords onLine pricing error and bought 3 tubs of 5 litre trackday oil for a bargain £12 each normally £36 each. Also got some more hose and joiners and a gauge holder for the din tray.

Got a bit more done today, charge cooler pipework 90% done, not the prettiest but space is tight

Got the rads fitted and made brackets for the Spal fan

Charge cooler and catch tank mounted up with some new custom brackets

And finally, cut the old brackets off and made some new ones which mount it to the crash bar, also gave it a lick of paint so it can't be seen behind the bumper to keep it stealth.

Cam breather exit?

The only spare vacuums on the car are from inlet manifold (blanked) and off the pipe from the charger which goes to the fuel pressure regulator and to boost gauge (how previous owner ran it)

Watch out for crank pressure
Your trying to bring fresh air in and the shitty gasses out at through same pipe

I used to run mine between air filter and theottle bodie which works fine but put all the oily shit on the laminovas

I now use a sealed catch from cam cover then on to the brake vacuum pump on the saab engine, will also be bringing fresh air in from the oil cap by modifying the oil cap with a filter

thats what i like about the saab head the pcv hole lines up and works 🙂
got mine setup with the cam breather to the supercharger inlet with no catch can and theres no shit on the laminovers after a year 🙂

Here is mine when on inlet after 2 trackdays and a bit of road driving

Do I put brake vacuum on the SC and then used saab pump for the vacuum for Pcv with a catch tank ( sealed )
I'm also putting a filter on the oil cap to allow air back in

Laminovas cleaned now

Cheers for the info I will just mod a oil cap and add a breather pipe that runs back to a catch tank

where did you get your blue air filter from? would rather have blue than green in the corsa. what sizes is it please?

Well a slight step back, noticed the alternator pulley was getting bloody hot on just a quick idle run up and it wasn't kicking out any voltage, so decided to whip the rad back out to just double check the wiring

all wires were fine but did notice the alternator pulley was very shiney and worn, I knew it wasn't the greatest before but totally forgot to change the pulley while it was off, here's a picture of them side by side, I reckon this is the cause for the heat build up and lack of charging. I will get the alternator checked tomorrow just to be sure. Also didn't realise the one that's worn was a aluminium pulley and the replacement is a steal item and almost double the weight.

On a plus note I've fitted the walbro 255 pump in the housing

And also wired up the wideband AFR and boost gauge

Uhhhhhhh boost gauge, that reminds me, mines in the post I best chase him up on that.

Love the astra g dash, I allways wanted the chrome rings in my G when I had it.

Yeah I've nicked it out the Corsa but doubt the Astra will ever get the 2 bar I'd see in the Corsa 🙁

That reminds me I need to paint that silver panel as rest is black, but the silver bezels are a nice touch

i cant stand the rings they were in the 2nd coupe they were launched out the window at 70 🙂
