what's your best advice to fit the retaining clip with out stabbing yourself in the finger or getting blinded by flying clips ?

almost messed up looked at the spec sheet on the rods it said for the arp bolts 43ft lb ive never used the ft lb scale before on the torque wrench went to do the bolt up and thought thats not a lot when i looked it was on 22ft lb's lol
the top rings were gapped at 0.015" - 0.38mm
the 2nd rings did not need any grinding they were all already 0.018" - 0.45mm

will get the sump washed out and back on then fit the head 🙂

sump washed out with v power hurd it makes them clean out faster lol
and fitted to the block with the new magnetic sump plug

head on

arp threads/washers/nuts lubed up and ready for 80ft lb's in 3 steps i did 30-56-80

chain gear on and timed up

brum brum 🙂

and after too turns off the crank to check there was no issues

it may not look like it but there still so much to do 🙂
ive now got to try and get the engine off the stand on my own with a bad neck so i can fit the flywheel ,clutch,oil cooler,thermostat housing
then ive got to make the manifold ,modify the LSJ coils ive got coming to run on from the z22se ecu
clean up the starter motor and fit
then clean out the spare garage so i can get to the telegraph pole in the rafters to get my engine out to fit this one :S

almost lost a kidney moving this from the stand to the pallet

z22se thermostat housing and tube vec c half shaft at the bottom

some more work to the ARP fly wheel bolts they were a bit long so ground them down by .5mm

lubed up and thread sealant on the bolts then torqued up to 70ft lb's

clutch plates aligned and bolted on

starter fitted and a spare alternator just for show

hmmm this might get fitted today lol
