Mines stupid to tax aswell, and the bloke at the last mot told me if i had a full tank of fuel and tried to kill myself with a hosepipe and the fumes from the exhaustthrough the window, I would run out of fuel before i died, which sounds great but doesnt bring the price down:drowning:

Had it one year today! Couple months back had all the bushes done and oil and its just had another oil change and MOT with no advisorys, just got a very small knock on drivers side when turning on uneven road at slow speeds but my mechanic can not find the source at all.

Our TT does that, I found that its the wishbone, only at very very slow speed with the wheels turned, like as if you are doing a 3 point turn.

Simon that sounds exactly like the same issue, did you replace the wishbone? I have just replaced the rear console bush and front bush. Next on my list was top mounts and bearings.

Nup, I left it for the time being, I will do both fronts at the same time, got bigger problems with the TT tbh... Haldex Controller fault, ABS fault, TC and ABS is not working (haldex is probably because of ABS being 4wd) oh and no instruments! The missus don't know how fast shes going, how much fuel, what engine temp is and no rev counter!!! LOL Oh and some boost issue which keeps popping up on VAGCOM, all hoses have been changed so its either the DV or something else! Fecking VAG's

That's a bit of a list! Mine had boost issues replaced with latest Vag DV and it has been good since. I will report back if \ when I get the knock sorted.

Yea, just a bit of a list, I hav'nt been bothered about it lately, but MOT is due in Jan so I think I need to get my hands out my pockets :banghead:

Funny how yours seems cheaper than other 2.2 think mine was either £280 or £260 for the year!

iv just googled mine will be £154 or £280, its not fair my boss has a shitty old focus 2001 1.8 turbo diesel shitter that kicks out so much shit(black smoke) cos he never services it, costs about £100 a year mine is definitely more environmentally friendly

Have a look at the Astra VXR and Zaf VXR same engine yet the Zaf is in the super bracket!
