2.2 sri query

I cant see a vacuum pipe anywhere loose and the end of my fpr doesnt appear broken at all. Iv been reading up about the other type of power boost valve that increase airflow to the inlet manifold instead of fuel pressure. Would this work? These are universal so could prob fit to the car. If you think I could fit 1 I may get 1 as theyre quite cheap and I have an obm so I can easily test after fitting for increase in bhp

Also do you know if the fuel pump on this car is inside the tank or outside? There is something resembling a pump just outside near the tank and when I turn the ignition on it makes a noise sounding like it s priming up? Do you know if this is it? Picture to follow

thats the fuel filter located at the rear passenger side basically under the rear seat 🙂
the fuel pump is in the fuel tank

Any idea how to get to the fuel pump? Is it easy to replace?

bit hot to be messing with petrol 🙂
ive never changed one but i hear there just clipped in to the casing

Ok thanks. Uprated fuel pump may be a no go then. I tested the car this morning for bhp and according to the obm its kicking out about 132 so a good service is definitely on the cards. Im losing about 15bhp somewhere

yeah you can fit an uprated fuel pump in the old strainer in the tank just needs a little modification

is the obd reader thats not its name the port is called obd lol
is it reading flywheel power or actual power wbhp?

Its reading it from the ecu somehow. Iv downloaded an app on my phone and it processes it all thru that. It gives you all the usual stuff like how much fuel is in the tank and rev counter and speed etc and it also tells you the torque and theres also a boost gauge for turbo cars. Pretty nifty little gadget really

the boost part dont work on mk 4 astras with vxr engines in lol 🙂
