2.2 sri query

Hi guys
just a general query about 52 plate 2.2 sri
I bought the car a couple of months ago and only bought the car because the ad stated it had 147bhp. Iv just been routing through the manual and under the engine code it states that the bhp for this engine is 108. You can imagine my immediate disappointment. I was wondering if the engine in a standard car is 108 but because its an sri if it is actually 147 with the ecu etc? Any light that can be shed on the matter would be greatly appreciated
also any idea on any mods I can do to this car to boost the power as iv been told remapping wouldnt do a great deal

yes it is 147 as standard,dont know what the 108 bit is

147bhp = 108kw 🙂

k&n filter in the air box and a better exhaust system
everything else is expensive or hard to do lol

Ahhh makes sense now. It doesnt give units on the power table so kw makes sense. Would anybody reccomend a remap? Would this make a difference at all and does anybody know wether the fuel regulator is on the fuel rail on this car or if its located inside the fuel tank or where it is as id thought of replacing this with a power boost valve
The flexi pipe is blowing too, would this cause a slight loss of power due to back pressure/ecu making adjustments?

Do you know if remapping would make a difference and if the fact that the flexi pipe is flowing would make a difference or loss of power?
What exhaust/decat would you have in mind and what power gains should I expect?

fpr is on the fuel rail
blowing flexy makes no difference ive been driving round with one for 4 months
forget the remap unless you're going to do more mods 1st

This may sound dumb but which end of the fuel rail is the fpr located as there doesnt appear to be 1 at the fuel feed end and there is something resembling a regulator at the other end but there are no fuel lines at this end and no vacuum pipes or anything. It just looks like a rwmovable stop end

its on the right hand side as you look at engine it should have a vacumn pipe going into the end of it

ahh z22yh has high pressure fuel pump at the end of the inlet cam

z22se dont have high pressure pump and the fpr is at the end of the rail

Thats what I thought but there doesnt look to be anything broken and theres no pipes hanging around anywhere or anything. Nothing looks out of place

Forgive me if im mistaken but there doesnt appear to be a vacuum pipe on the fpr in the pic you posted either

Picture is shit but you can make out a plastic hose going from the end of the FPR

I believe it goes to the intake pipe, is there nothing at all on yours?

vec c dont have the vacuum hose on the inlet pipe so wheres it got to ? lol
