Hmm.. my plan was to use the new engine on the van with the charger. I read there only good up to 270hp so it's close to its limit..
How much are dbilas manifolds do you know?
I think 3in from engine back would be much better tbh.

Tbh I could probably sell the tullet manifold and buy the dbilas one with the money.

i know which one i would rather have. many would dissagree though.
and yes a second hand tullet is about the same as a new Dbilas with gasket set.
not sure if it would be cheaper to use gm gaskets?
could ask for discount on 2 manifolds? free shipping? as i need 1.

I think I would like to try this one though as obviously different people like different things as I haven't actually heard one properly

will also depend on the rest of the exhaust system and yours being charged will make a difference as well.

Do the Dbilas flow well? Any bigger bore than standard? My piper one is forever cracking with the high heat cycles. I could make my own I suppose but this could be a easy fit and forget option between races

the Dbilas one does need porting out as its very rough cast inside.
exit is 3" diameter though.

Tbh I was going to make a v2 of my loom as I'm not happy with how it looks so want to hide the ecu and fuel vent but I can probably find you a loom if your looking

I heard that with the tullet manifold it's almost abit like to old cav turbos as in abit raspy in mid range which I actually like but I am interested in a Dbilas one as a 3in outlet is nice

I've got a few plans over winter to tidy the engine bay up abit as it's not a clean ad the rest of the van.
I'll clean and paint the engine and charger so there fresh stock silver but I'd like to fit new back hoses etc etc. Still not sure what to do inside atm as I don't think bucket seats and road driving works very well.
I want new suspension at the front and better brakes at least vxrs but I've been looking at a willwood set up that will fit nice under 17s.
I also want a short shifter on the gearbox and a quaife diff as soon as I can afford one as traction control is never making an appearance again lol

sounds raspy and like its blowing from idle upto around 4500rpm.
think it will sound nice with a set of 45mm jenvey's 🙂:confused:
when you fit a new diff it may pay you to look at an astra turbo final drive. taller top end so better for motorway speeds, or a 6 speed box?
