5M1THY I can't seem to get a pulley anywhere and can only find alloy ones online and at vauxhall and I've had 3 new alternators all different makes and they all have alloy pulleys so I'm either not going pvs or I will and if it snaps ill put a new belt on and drive it home and worry about it later I've had enough of pissing about with this van now
milo If its heating up as bad as mine was when it was slipping then i dont think you'll make it far bud. Does @[deleted] @[deleted] not fot a spare u can go collect? We need u they bud
evocarlos is the alloy worn out ? or have you not modded the cs bracket ? you had my last steel one @[deleted]

5M1THY Oh right yeah I've got to have the cs pulley at the top having a pulley at the bottom doesn't achieve anything.. Tbh I don't think the best is slipping it's tight it's just getting mega hot
evocarlos as hot as the engine ? they do get hot as there bolted direct to the block is it charging ok ? any signs of rubber floating about the bay that end ?
5M1THY To hot to touch..and there's rubber dust but I had the belt on and left the outside rib on the charger empty as every ones looks like that and I think it was running at an angle on mine so I've moved it over and left the inside rib empty but I can't get the van out until my dad gets back and moves his cars.. I'll take it for a drive in abit and see if it's helped
Dave_Gilbert Got the alternator n its steel. The alternator sounds rough so id swap the pulley over if you can.
5M1THY Dave you are a legend 🙂 I've re aligned the belt and it seems okay now still very hot but I've driven it 20 odd miles and it hasn't snapped lol I'll sort you out dave just tell me what you want

corsaZ22se mine doesn't get so hot that you cant touch it? gets a bit warm that's all. I have 2 spare alternators here if you want to collect one tomorrow. 1 is u/s but pulley is good. im running on outer ribs of charger pulley. get a spare belt just in case it does snap.
dewismotorsport Stick a steel one on, my alloy one wore down and got stupid hot within 30 seconds of running due to slipping at idle, steel one on and had no problems since
5M1THY I think I've sorted it tbh I'm pretty sure it was the belt alignment I've got a steel pulley now thanks to @[deleted] I found out that I can actually special order them from vauxhall too but I don't have time before pvs and I've driven it abit yesterday and today and seems fine..
5M1THY That didn't last long lol clutch is slipping at anything over 0.5 bar of boost I've just ordered a clutch hopefully it's the right one ill order the csc and flywheel asap

5M1THY 6 speed is an awesome mod going by carls um sticking with mine as it is I want to get some use out of it before anything else.. there's not really anything I haven't replaced now lol
