Rattle on start up??

All of the pdf guides said to wind it in on its latch, fit it then press on the guide rail to activate it, but just not sure if it did as the rattle is still there. Will check at the weekend.

yeah it takes 3 or 4 attempts to get it activated that way as they told me here it is better to fit it activated then all you have to do is crank the engine on the starter with the lid off to prime with oil then it can be run 🙂

edit;- the above should read once the new chain kit is fitted the engine can be run on the starter to prime all parts with oil before running it for real

Quick question timing chain has arrived the FAI instructions say use oil grade 0w-30. 0w-40 the book states 5w-30 but ive always been told that 10w-40 is best to use any ideas on whats best or what people on here are using in their z22se's

As above. 5W30 is for the newer engines. 10W40 is what you want to use in the Z22SE
