I tried to locate it at the x2 connector but couldn't see either of them, even knowing roughly where to look (pin 78/79 just above the yellow and white pair). I ended up taking it from the headlight switch as I'd run a spare cable over with the dash LED ones. I'm guessing the headlight ECU is what determines whether a light filament fails and reports it on the MID. its just as easy to take it from the headlight switch if your working on that side of the car oh close but its pin 79 and 80 🙂 yep the headlight ecu lets you know when a bulbs out far to technical for me don't even know how it works
MikeS same as open circuit fault on any engine sensor or abs sensor for brake lights the open circuit is detected when you press brakes after your start car for headlights you switch them I am guessing it is using simple logic gates
