It only says 24 in the book for town driving. The bloke I bought it off is a mechanic and he had just gave it a full service so I do expect it to drop between now and the next one.

I only get 14 - 15mpg out of mine, lol. I've had 6 different cars now with the z22se engine and this one is the worst.

The 1.8T 20v unit returns lower MPG than the Z22SE.

I wouldn't touch another Vag / Audi group car ever again! The faults the running cost poor quality bad MPG on the petrol units just utter $hite.

Yeah, decent ones get broke up for parts nowadays.

been out in the car did a few miles today got 26.7 with the climate control on 16c lol thats better than with a/c off

Im getting 30 around town and upto 40 on a long run at 60mph with cruise control im my 2.2 Direct.

I hade the shock of my life when I switched from morrisons unleaded returning 28 mpg on a 14 mile trip to work and back, cc set to 2.5k.
Then tried bp ultimate and same conditions returned 44 mpg.

I only put £30 in each fill up but when I filled at bp the first time I only put £20 in.
To say I was amazed at the difference is an understatement.

I found no improvment in mpg or performance with the z22se running on higher RON rating fuel, the Vag 1.8t lump however does respond much better to V power though and returns an addtional 2mpg over a full tank and seems more responsive compared to 95 RON.
