Service oil quantity (incl. filter change) changed from 5 liter to
4,75 liter. Oil quantity between MIN and MAX on oil level dip-stick
modified from 1 l to 0,75 l. Service literature and owners manual
will be modified accordingly.

i'll still be putting 5l in after a service i can then use the bottle for the old oil but the oil is above the max mark on my car and thats where it stays never had to top it up not in the last 7 years

vauxhall field remedies are like toilet paper only good for two things 🙂 blowing ya nose or wiping yer a..
i say that as only vx know about them and when you ask about your own car they say is not in affected range up to a 6 count now for mine🙂

I only use the recommended level as a guide, I always put 0.5L less in and adjust from there as there's always going to be some that hasn't drained out. Mine smokes like a good one on start up if I overfill it.

i think well all sort of start buy putting a good load of oil then save the last bit for topups im not that fussed mine dont blow smoke yet when i did the chains i just poured the full 5l over the chain and cams then cranked it over to prime all the bits then after a week i drained it then put a new full vx 5l 10/40 in
done 450 mile in the last 2 days and its still above the max mark i checked it a simons it was 4mm over wonder if its worth fitting a 4mm spacer to the dipstick instead of running with less oil?

What do you guys use for this job?

Your right about being no clearance, not enough room for the socket never mind with a ratchet on top, I cut a spanner in two, will keep it for future oil/filter changes even though I only put it on hand tight 😉
