Halfords for the plastic primer. All the rest was from Paints4U.com

Halfords colour mix has always been totally crap for anything that's not already pre-mixed, and they don't do Prestige Blue

ok im done 🙂 it was all down to the temp again put the heater on full bore on the bench got a few more bits in the paint but the finish is 100% better

and untill next time 🙂

its been fine the snow and ice never bothered me with driving i only worry just in case i smash the wheels 🙂
but it looks like the council has pulled there finger out with the gritting this year most the roads are clear
the main problems been getting in to the car at 5am the wet windows in the rubbers freeze solid been having to pour warm water down the glass and seals to get in

new key fob remote cover
1l of silver paint and 1l of lacquer for the wheels
2 new plastic tires £109 shipped
new clips for hand brake cable and the brackets to hold it in place

parts to get for the front
new wish bones
new track rod ends
new SS braided hoses
new shocks
new shock top mounts
new arb links

only parts needed for the rear are
SS braided hoses

im currently working on 3 other projects so these will give me time to get the above parts

the projects are
1, egr cheater SMD ver

2,window closer SMD
3,EL (electroluminescent panel) speedo lights and MFD

Nice shopping list Carl, where did you get the new fob cover and have you fitted it yet one of my buttons is wearing a bit on the rubber.

Some people really slate Nankangs, my mate had some on his T-Sport and said they where ok. I had a look at the stand at Autosport and they didn't seem like they where scrimping on there profile at all. Be interesting to see how you get on with them.

Couple of people at work run them. Apparently were OK for the first couple of thousand mine, but wore really quick, and were crap in all but warm/dry road conditions.

well the tires that are on the back have been on there like 4 years and there antire cheapos and were great in the dry but shat in the wet but have not worn one bit

so if these nankang are good in the wet then that's great lol when your running 40 psi in the tires it really dont matter what tires you run 🙂

How come you run such as high PSI? I've got 225/35/19 on mine, and they are supposed to be run at 35PSI all round.

your tires are have huge tire walls in comparison to mine being 225's
if i run 32 psi all round then i get tire pinch from pot holes and speed bumps splitting the tire wall so to prevent this i run 38 psi cold which is about 40 psi warm its a firm ride but save on the cost of tires 🙂

you can see from the pic there's a good 20mm more on the vxr 19" mine are more euro style as there under sized to fit the arches and rolling radius
