boy has it been a long day
tried to remove the rear bumper only to find the screws has seized had to drill them out
crappy weather held me off doing the rear beam
some good points got all the back end jet washed and ready
new rear shocks ordered
some pics 🙂

bumper off before cleaning

found a can of tint spray so redid my rear lights hope the guy on the MOT over looks this fact 🙂 they need a good polish but cant seam to find my t-cut

2nd hub all sprayed today and rebuild not 15 mins ago on the bench still got some parts to nickel in the morning

i left the disc out in the open and it got covered in red over spray :s (lol the calipers look orange with the flash on)

hoping to get this sorted tomorow also

thanks still got loads to do lol

ive started to nickel palte the ARB brackets

ive bled the rear brakes and the clutch just need to bleed the fronts and fingers crossed the brakes are all equalised

im happy with how these ARB bits turned out

these ones were a pain in the ass to get apart heat and lots of lube then a big hammer

cleaned the drop links things need to be spotless for the nickel plating to work

after and before

and done well apart from the centers they needed cleaning on the bench grinder then were plated (not shown)

also just got me a hole boot lid with a turbo spoiler for £40🙂

well the rear end restoration is nearly complete it will soon be time to start on the front end lol

ok here goes

went for a trip to fetch the spoiler/bootlid and stopped for some bits along the way the guy who i got the spoiler from had a shelf full of front calipers he let me have a pair for £10 🙂

new shocks came so they got fitted

after some masking,marking and drilling the spoiler was fitted to my car the same as it would have been from the factory

yes its black but i think i like it 🙂

cars back on the ground now just need to refit the rear bumper and arch liners then tomorow bleed the front brakes and its set to go again

tryed to get the rear bumper back on but the clips were knackered so did a quick fix

cook to 480c

unscrew while hot with pliers

Great job, I had to replace a chunk of clips a few years ago on the front end of mine, same type of clips had gone, the heads snapped off in the end.

i found a guy on the bay selling new clips and bolts for like £9 but will have to wait till next year to get them lol

ok abit more done
gear box oil changed

well i have a brake pipe spanner but its a 11/13mm found the fronts are 9mm ffs so had to make one 🙂
9mm socket some stainless steel bar and some silver solder
heres what i got

it fits 🙂

old yellow dot 5.1 out

new clear dot 5.1 in

took it out for a spin again but for some reason the eml is on its not affecting the running of the car at all and the gearbox seams smooth brakes are shit hot again
maybe the 10k boost i put thru it has caused a problem ??

heres the car minus the rear bumper so the question is with the spoiler do i keep it black or do i spray it body color ??

I think you should CC the spoiler, how did you find the gear oil change my mechanic said he found it on the messy side to change on my car?

thanks i think im gona CC the spoiler to my dad likes it black lol he will be so upset 🙂
the gear box oil change was a piece of piss once you cut the allen key down to fit lol and its not that messy at all i thought it was going to do everywhere once the plug was out but it went straight in the tub below
the wet patch on top of the gear box is brake fluid from the clutch it leaked out the bleed pipe when i pulled it off
i put some water cooling pipe in the gearbox oil bottle the just swapped the lids and squeezed it in
once the 1st and 2nd bottles were empty i measured out 350mm from the last bottle to make it 2.35L

petrol is what i used when i overfilled the brake rez and it went all down the back of the engine lol
